Abstract

Saat ini sudah banyak sistem atau produk yang telah di buat oleh Apookat, mulai dari pembuatan apps dan website bagi usaha mikro kecil menengah (UMKM) maupun perusahaan. Tetapi salain itu Apookat terus mengembangkan produk internalnya. Dengan begitu banyaknya projek/produk yang dibuat oleh apookat, di perlukanlah dokumentasi/framework design agar para desainer memiliki mental model yang sama ketika membangun atau mengembangkan produk Apookat. Sehingga meskipun banyak produk yang dibuat dan desaine/stakeholder di Apookat bertambah banyak ataupun berganti, pengembangan produk internalnya tetap sejajar, singkron dan memiliki identitas desain yang konsisten serta membantu tim developer dalam mempercepat proses pengembangan dan perancangan user interface. Design system adalah framework design yang tujuannya dapat membantu mempermudah dan mempercepat proses desain ataupun development dalam mencapai tujuan suatu produk dengan menyediakan pattern library, styleguide dan code library. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah suatu panduan dokumentasi design system dalam merancang user interface produk di Apookat. Berdasarkan dari hasil pengujian design system, waktu yang diperlukan desainer dalam merancang user interface lebih cepat/efisien 53,8% ketika menggunakan design system yaitu yang asalnya rata-rata waktu pengerjaan 1 Jam 48 Menit 53 Detik menjadi 50 Menit 42 Detik. Dapat disimpulkan dengan adanya penggunaan design system dapat mempermudah dan mempercepat desainer dalam merancang user interface.
