Indosat yang merupakan kependekan dari Indonesian Satellite Corporation, didirikan pada 20 November 1967 sebagai perusahaan telekomunikasi multinasional Amerika Serikat, International Telephone and Telegraph (ITT). Indosat merupakan perusahaan perusahaan PMA (Pemilikan Modal Asing) kedua di Indonesia.
