Bandung is the heaven of the Dutch colonial architecture. Since the Governoor General, J.P. Graaf van Limburg Stirum decided to move the capital city from Batavia to this small town in 1918, the physical development expanded very rapidly. Prior to the early days of the 1920s, more than 70 European architects were migrated to Bandung to establish private design bureau as well as to work for the municipal.
